How it all started...
The journey to where SFA is today began in 1972, when Rev Leo & Edith Guthrie accepted the position of lead pastor. During the next 42 years the Guthrie's would build on the foundation of the love and Grace of God. Starting with just 30 people, eventually they found themselves a part of multiple building projects leading to many coming to Jesus. In October of 2012 Pastor Leo Guthrie went home to be with the Lord. Sister continues to serve at SFA to this day. In April of 2015 Rev Jason & Shawna Smith were elected as new lead pastor of the church. The Smith's came in with the mindset that they would not build something new, but to continue to build on the shoulders of the Guthrie's and what they began in 1972.
Expanding the vision...
During September of 2018 Stigler First Assembly made the transition to their new facility that would now give them a larger place to continue the vision and dream of Pastor Leo & Edith Guthrie

At First Assembly we are committed to reaching the lost and helping them transform into a follower of Christ. We are determined to reach our community with the Love of Christ, regardless the time, energy or resources that will take.
